The planned listing would show facilities, suitable dates, pickup details and rental conditions. Travellers could review the full proposed price and relevant requirements before requesting a trip.
Owners could check dates, trip information and the vehicle’s readiness before accepting or declining. Request-based booking is a proposed workflow; instant booking and response deadlines are not confirmed.
The planned workflow would distinguish an enquiry, a pending request and a confirmed booking. Payment, relevant eligibility checks and applicable coverage confirmation would need clear completion rules.
A trip record could hold agreed pickup details, the equipment list and support contacts. A condition checklist would help both sides record fuel, mileage and visible damage at handover.
Owners and travellers would compare the return condition with the handover record, document any differences and follow the agreed process for adjustments before closing the trip.
PAYMENTS & RECORDS
| Area | Proposed owner experience |
|---|---|
| Price breakdown | A future checkout would show rental charges, selected extras, applicable platform charges and any other confirmed amounts before payment. Final fee schedules remain unconfirmed. |
| Payment status | Owners could see whether a payment is awaiting action, confirmed, refunded or unsuccessful. These states would reflect payment-provider confirmations rather than an owner marking a payment as received. |
| Deposits | If a security deposit is introduced, the amount, collection method, release conditions and dispute process would need to be stated separately. Deposit handling is not available now. |
| Owner payouts | The planned dashboard could separate expected earnings from payouts actually processed. Settlement timing, provider arrangements and deductions would need to be agreed before launch. |
| Refunds & adjustments | An adjustment should identify the booking, the reason, the amount and its status. A refund request and a completed refund should appear as different states. |
| Receipts & reconciliation | Future transaction records could help owners match bookings, deductions and payouts. The format and availability of downloadable statements remain to be determined. |
NomadStay does not currently take booking payments, hold deposits, issue refunds or pay rental earnings. Payment providers, settlement schedules and transaction fees have not been announced.
CHANGES & ISSUES
The planned tools would check availability and any price difference before both parties confirm a change. An extension would also need any relevant coverage and operational checks; it should not be assumed from a message alone.
Travellers and owners should see the applicable cancellation terms before booking. The future workflow would record who cancelled, when and how the agreed terms affect any refund. No cancellation policy is established by this guide.
A proposed issue record could combine time-stamped handover photos, return photos, inventory and comments from each party. Evidence would support a review; an allegation should not automatically trigger a deduction.
The trip record could provide the agreed operator, assistance-provider and insurance contacts. Support hours, roadside arrangements and replacement-vehicle options have not been confirmed, so this page makes no service promise.
TRAVELLER FEEDBACK
The proposed review system would connect feedback to a completed booking, helping travellers distinguish a real rental experience from a general comment. Public ratings are not currently collected.
Travellers could describe listing accuracy, cleanliness, communication, handover and the usability of onboard facilities. Separating these topics could make reviews more useful than a single unexplained score.
Owners could add a factual, courteous response, explain an improvement or correct a misunderstanding without disclosing personal trip information. Replies should help future travellers understand the experience.
A future moderation policy would define how to report abusive content, private information, conflicts of interest or unrelated reviews. Critical feedback should not be removed simply because it is unfavourable; publication rules remain to be agreed.
